Story of 2009

Year promised turmoil both domestic and international. 2009 arrived with hope when Barack Hussein Obama Jr. took office from George W. Bush Jr. in the morning of 26 january, his liberal view of the world offer new change. He gained international attention when signed to closed down Guantanamo Bay, prison which for years humiliating United States as a democracy championed. Quoted Mr President, he said, "the message we are sending around the world is that the United States intends to prosecute the ongoing struggle against violence and terrorism, and we are going to do so vigilantly; we are going to do so effectively; and we are going to do so in a manner that is consistent with our values and our ideals." Rhee (2009). Value has been lost from home since 2001 when former president took office, Obama still pursuing war on terror but in a manner he suggested, in this context, consistent with human value and ideal, only time will tell how the value define and when guns been raised, will the bullets surpass those values boundaries.
Soon, in contradict to the human value, he order to re-established Stem Cell research, Obama steal the world spotlight again. The Stem Cell research according to scientist will cure many disease but what more important to mark here is Stem Cell required fetus kill, very sad in nature and immoral but important according to Mr. President in order to save life. Obama (2009) said that, in recent years, when it comes to stem cell research, rather than furthering discovery, our government has forced what I believe is a false choice between sound science and moral values. In this case, I believe the two are not inconsistent. As a person of faith, I believe we are called to care for each other and work to ease human suffering. I believe we have been given the capacity and will to pursue this research – and the humanity and conscience to do so responsibly.It is a difficult and delicate balance. Many thoughtful and decent people are conflicted about, or strongly oppose, this research. I understand their concerns, and we must respect their point of view. Killing fetus in my opinion is incomparable to War-On-Terror, its a method to future human existing.
